So you have lots of letters after your name. You have degrees, diplomas, certificates, masters…You unbelievably qualified.

Sorry to break this to you.

Your clients and patients don’t really care!

Yes they need to know you’re qualified, insured, board certified or a member of professional association BUT they’re not really interested in all your degrees and they are certainly not that interested in your modality.

Now that you’ve picked yourself off the floor let’s unpack this.

Let’s examine why your clients are ‘really’ coming to see you by asking some questions.

  • What are you passionate about?
  • What is your niche?
  • What are you an expert in?
  • What gets you out of bed in the morning?
  • Why do you do what you do?
  • What are you really about?

Let me use myself as an example using what is known as the ‘POWER PITCH’.

Hi my name is Dr. Andrew Arnold (Chiropractor), I’m a Practice Leverage expert.

 As a wellness consultant I help Allied Health practice owners:

  • Attract, manager and retain Clients
  • Recruit, motivate and train their team
  • Design and implement a system
  • And provide consistent service excellence

But what I’m really passionate about is helping create their exit strategy so they can have more time, location and financial freedom.

This last statement is what really counts. This is what my clients get excited about and what causes them to ask questions and find out more. It’s what gets my clients engaged.

Here’s another example using my modality:

I’m an expert in low force, spinal alignment and pain management.

I have 25 years’ experience in relieving spinal nerve pressure and extremity joint pain and injury.

As a Chiropractor I offer 3 key benefits:

  • Fast, drug-free, sustainable pain relief
  • improved sleep
  • And improved overall well-being.

But what I’m really about is helping reduce or remove nerve interference optimizing your nervous system expression thereby, enhancing your innate healing ability.

You get the idea!

If I talk about myself as a coach, mentor or Chiropractor I run the risk of being ‘boxed in’. If you have a fixed opinion about these titles from your own past experiences you will naturally put me in the same box. Conversation over!

If I lead with my passion, it’s a very different story.

There are many examples of motivational leaders who you wouldn’t know there original modality, for example: Deepak Chopra – Endocrinologist and John Demartini –Chiropractor. Can you see how limiting it is to lead with your modality?
