Dr. Andrew Arnold (Chiropractor) talks about how our emotional state can impact our posture and our height.
I was recently walking my dog and I noticed I was looking continually at the ground. Now I know what you’re thinking. I don’t want to trip and fall so I need to look at the few meters of pathway ahead sure. What I realised was I didn’t need to look at the path immediately ahead all the time. So, I started lifting my gaze and focused way ahead, as far as I could see down the end of the street.
And this is what happened.
My emotions completed shifted! I felt stronger, more focused, more confidence, more self-assured, prouder.
My belief in myself elevated to a whole new level. I felt invincible, untouchable in the face of all the adversity and challenges in my life.
I saw indifference in a completely new way, as an opportunity to continue moving forwards, to continue delivering my message to the world. My breathing changed and I’m sure if you bumped into me you would have noticed a positive energy.
I started to believe I would be OK no matter what. I no longer reduced myself to the lowest form of energy, the drama, the added meaning, the unwanted influences forward
I knew who I was in that moment and I believe in me.
My posture changed; my spine lengthened forward you knew I was coming down that street.
I’m even my dog noticed.
There’s a saying, your emotions follow your posture. Stand tall, stand proud. There is only one YOU, don’t ever look down (not for too long) and hide from who you are meant to be on this planet EVER, EVER, EVER, no matter what happens.
