Your community want to know YOU. So, get personal.
Hi, this is Andrew Arnold, the Million Dollar Wellness Mentor.
Years ago, the word on the street was don’t use your name as part of your brand and certainly don’t reveal who you are behind your brand. It was thought this would hinder your ability to leverage or sell your brand, i.e. your community would always be looking for you.
In recent years this has changed. With the advent of the internet and a more impersonal connection, people are now wanting more and more to know who you are behind your brand.
This doesn’t mean sharing your really personal stuff but rather, sharing your thoughts, beliefs, philosophy, ideas. Sharing your travel experiences, some family stuff, sport etc.
Your community want to get to know YOU behind your brand.
They want to feel connected to a real person so that you can become part of their ‘circle of trust’.
They want to feel like they are part of your journey, like they have history with you, like they mean something to you.
This is what builds brand.
In a virtual world this is even more challenging.
In practice I recommend you hold events, opportunities for your community to meet and greet you and your team outside of the consultation room.
Our neighbor is awesome example of this. He has built an accounting business in our area over 25 years by participating in local sporting, networking charity events. He has connected with people from all walks of life.
So, practice owners, put yourself front and center. Your community is waiting.
