1. Feeling Paralyzed?
  2. Procrastinating?
  3. Unable to see your next step?
  4. Stuck in non-action?

I know how you feel. Sometimes we just need to take action even if we’re unsure if it’s right. It’s called throwing a spanner in the works and shaking things up.

This is exactly where I’ve been living for some time now and this week, finally, there was a shift! Yeah!

This is what happened.

  1. I identified a few key people who are leaders where I want to be and I hung out with them.
  2. I jumped onto Netflix and watched 3 documentaries in the international / independent section: ABSTRACT; JOURNEY TO GREENLAND and The MINIMALISTS.
  3. I gave myself permission to ‘LET GO’ and let my right ‘genius’ brain have a say.
  4. Put a pen and note pad by my bed (because this is where I usually feel inspiration)

Let me elaborate.

I have 5 key people who are leaders in the circle I want to work and live in. 2 of these are accessible in person, the other 3 online.

These 3 documentaries were suggested to me by my 15 yr old son. Kids in general, have much clearer access to their gut or intuitive side. So it was no surprise these three documentaries all had one common message, at least in my mind: “Get out of your own way and trust your gut”.

I’m a control freak so letting my right genius loose takes some practice. In the documentary ‘Abstract’, a German born artist is portrayed who is also a control freak however, needs to work primarily with his artistic, right brain. He has created a work space where he works alone all day in a simplistic, basic environment…and simply creates. He gives himself permission to create and play. We all need to do more of this if we want to move into our entrepreneurship.

You may notice your inspiration takes flight when you are most relaxed which is usually during the quietest times, bed time. A pen and paper mean you can quickly jot down thoughts or anything you’ve forgotten to attend to. This also frees up your mind to get back to sleep.

The result:

Action plan done! And in under 30 minutes.

The reality:

Is this exactly the right plan right now? Maybe! But that’s irrelevant. As my friend and mentor has always said to me, ‘Action precedes clarity’. Just do something and trust your gut!

So now I have a plan of action and for the first time in months feel like I have a direction again. This is massive.

So if you’re feeling stuck, think about 3 things you can do. Trust your gut even if your head is telling you ‘this doesn’t make sense’. The universal law of attraction will respond.

Good luck on your journey.
